Progress 3 ...

I spent some time last night working on this again. I need to mull over the three options below before I move forward. Not sure how I feel yet ...

You have a nice composition building up now. Now that I see the hanging arm "fixed" I realize something. That limp are connected the pilot and the upper half of the piece with the lower half.

You have a solid arc extending from the bottom right, to the center of the image, up to the upper right; and I feel that is where the eye is lead and it is exciting. I think to re connect the upper and lower halves maybe just use some dynamic shadows extending from the boy in the front on the tank behind him along that arc line?

Thank you for sharing your process. Its very inspiring.

This is really, really cool! I love the addition of the kid. I'm no illustrator, but what about adding in another kid standing behind Fagan, with maybe a hand up in the air and a smile on his face like he was shouting, and the kid in the goggles could be looking up at him smiling, like they are friends? Then again, it could take away from the composition. I dunno. Anyway, it's really awesome! Do you ever make your illustrations available for purchase when you're done? Maybe a website where I could get a print made or something?

Its lookin good b! I definitely love the addition you made with the kid.

I go back and forth on whether or not I like the chair behind the cigar smoker or not - on the one hand I like the stark composition of his body shape when the chair is gone - on the other - its nice having a lot to look at because it hasn't reached that 'too busy' point at all.

So there's my helpful bit of advice to you:

"I don't know."

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.

hey buddy, only have a second to respond, got to get to spanish class.
But I like the new comps.
two thoughts.
1. drop the elbow of the stogie man so he doesn't look like he's smoking a joint. (the stogie ellbow)
2. love the new crew member, but he looks lost. really bored. statue like. I'm such a critic. tell me to shut up please.
3. The chair is good. Gives the tank a homemade feel!
